His jaw muscles flexed.
He stopped them because he didn't know what else to say.
Or what he wanted to be said back to him.

Oh, she said.
And looked around.

I don't mean that.
One of them said.

This is what I mean,
And he wiped his lips from his face
blank skin

He took her hand
placed on her palm
nothing new
but different.

Her hand to her lips
Kissed the smile
